Volunteer Management 101

This class addresses the following issues:
How do you recruit volunteers?
Why don’t volunteers stay longer?
What are we liable for with volunteers?  What is a successful volunteer program? 

The class examines the structure of volunteer resource programs, and the role of volunteers and paid staff.  Participants will relate volunteer motivation to the design of opportunities, recruitment and recognition.  Discussion topics include recruiting, record keeping, virtual volunteering and risk management.

Time:  9 am - 4 pm

Cost:  $45 for CAVA members 
       $55 all others

Leadership Skills for Volunteer
Management
Explore different management styles, time management strategies, leadership skills,and program evaluation tools.
